This week a little convention called GlobalShop takes over McCormick Place. As the name may lead you to believe, it's one of the most important trade shows of its kind. Visual merchandisers from around the world are here seeking inspiration and supplies to make their next retail work of art. To entertain and cash in on this crowd of retail art types Macy's and Ralph Pucci have partnered to create a retrospective of Pucci mannequins at Macy's State Street flagship.
In the windows on the perimeter of the store there are 50 Pucci mannequins representing 27 collections over a 30-year period. Now folks, these aren't just ordinary mannequins--no--they are some of the most creative, WTF that you've ever seen. There's a Christy Turlington mannequin in a yoga position and super bizarre Kenny Scharf mannequins, and mannequins created in collaboration with other artists for stores like Saks.
